HERPETOLOGY ISRAEL
Together with colleagues, I founded the Facebook group Herpetology Israel in 2017. The group has over 7500 followers, and is dedicated to building a community of amateur herpetologists and bridging the gap between academic herpetologists and hobbyists.
In the group we focus on communicating recent advances in herpetology to the public, keeping people up-to-date on the taxonomy of Israeli amphibians and reptiles, and encouraging people to upload their observations to a database curated by myself and the other administrators. This database serves as the leading citizen science source for observations of Israeli herpetofauna, and we share the data upon request with researchers and conservation groups

LITTLE BIG SCIENCE
For five and a half years I volunteered for Little Big Science (NGO registered no. 580639797), an Israeli NGO with over 150,000 followers, dedicated to science communication and public outreach in Hebrew.
Founded in 2013, and registered as an NGO in 2017, Little Big Science employs a large team of volunteers to communicate science to the Israeli public on various social media platforms. Uniquely, all of the content is written by active scientists, who all write in their respective fields of expertise.
I volunteered for Little Big Science from 2016 to 2021. In that time, I have written over 90 popular science articles, edited dozens more written by other volunteers, gave talks online and in bars, and participated in seven episodes of the NGO's podcast.
Through my volunteer work with Little Big Science, I was able to share with the Israeli public my fascination and admiration for Conservation, Ecology, Evolution, and Zoology.
